How does Addvantage work?

For each candidate you registered in one year for Aptis, Cambrige English and IELTS exam (Aptis, YLE, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TKT, BEC, ILEC, ICFE and IELTS) through the British Council you have earned 1 point.

In order to make Addvantage more rewarding for you, our partners, we’ve re-invented it by counting even more exams towards your overall point total, as well as increasing discounts you receive at each level of membership.

The total number of points earned in the previous year entitles you to one of the levels of membership in the next one. Each level has its own associated benefits for you to enjoy in. The number of points for each level of membership is as follows:

10-39 Tier 3
40-99 Tier 2
100-199 Tier 1

Your level of membership is reviewed at the end of every year. Your level of membership will depend on the number of points earned between January and December  of previous year.

What benefits does Addvantage programme provide?

Tier 3 membership entitles you to:

  • tracking of all registration points and uninterrupted years of membership
  • listing on SchoolFinder online database
  • addvantage certificate and stickers 
  • new fixed and dynamic web baners addvantage members scheme
  • access to FCE and CAE online preparation/practice materials portal for all your students that register for these exams – these portals are exclusive to the British Council and exclusive to members addvantage
  • 6% discount to candidate fees for eligible Cambridge English examinations*

Tier 2 membership entitles you to: addvantage

  • All the Tier 3 member benefits plus 
  • 10% discount to candidate fees for eligible Cambridge English examinations*

Tier 1 membership entitles you to: addvantage

  • All the Tier 2 member benefits plus
  • 20% discount to candidate fees for eligible Cambridge English examinations*

100–299 Apris tests

  • 25% discount to candidate fees for eligible Cambridge English examinations*

300+ Apris tests

  • 30% discount to candidate fees for eligible Cambridge English examinations*
