Returning for its highly anticipated second edition, the Montenegro Film Rendezvous is rapidly establishing itself as a vital platform for fostering collaboration between Montenegrin filmmakers and the broader European film industry. Taking place during the 38th Montenegro Film Festival in Herceg Novi, this year’s Rendezvous builds on the momentum of its successful 2024 debut.

The 2025 edition will see an expanded international presence, with participation from leading UK institutions including the British Film Institute (BFI) and the award-winning visual effects company Framestore and Yorkshire Film. They will be joined by prominent European film bodies such as Eurimages, Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), and the Austrian Film Institute, underscoring the event’s growing significance as a hub for cross-border industry dialogue.

The Rendezvous will welcome a distinguished cohort of guests, including representatives from some of Europe’s most prestigious film festivals—Berlinale, International Film Festival Rotterdam, and Tallinn Black Nights—alongside influential producers, distributors, and international sales agents. Through a curated programme of panels, networking sessions, and project showcases, the event aims to facilitate meaningful partnerships, co-production opportunities, and knowledge exchange.

Organised in close collaboration with the Montenegro Film Festival and supported by regional and international partners, the Montenegro Film Rendezvous reflects a strategic commitment to strengthening Montenegro’s position within the European audiovisual landscape. By connecting local talent with global expertise, the initiative plays a key role in nurturing sustainable industry growth and elevating the visibility of Montenegrin cinema on the international stage.
